关于 Web 未来的思辩

今年6月11日，Rensselaer Polytechnic 学院将和 Tetherless World Research Constellation 联合召开一次辩论会，探讨 Web 的未来。与会者将包括 Web 的发明人 Berners-Lee。论题将全部由普通用户提出，目前最受欢迎的论题包括：

语意的 Web 是个梦吗？

90年代后期互联网应用爆发的原因是，一个懂得适当技术的人可以通过 HTML 编码或 Web 编辑器创建网站，然而我所知道的语意 Web 的知识对非技术人员来说是令人费解的。Web 语言是否过于技术化而难以普及？在网站结构中运用语意技术的动机是什么？

网络中立是否民主的根基？

Berners-Lee 曾说，“网络中立性是民主的媒体基础”，大家是否同意？

多语种互联网 - 兴起还是衰败？

互联网目前仍以英文为主，随着越来越多的人访问互联网，但其它语种的重要性正在凸显，我们将如何越过语言的障碍，你能预见一种翻译工具可以帮我们实现跨文化交流吗？

你能想象将来一个没有语意的 Web 吗？这样的 Web 是什么样？

如果 Berners-Lee 从未有过语意 Web 的思考，同时，诸如 RDF/S, OWL, SPARQL 一类的技术也没有发展起来，你认为 Web 发展到现在会是什么样？它的将来呢？语意 Web 是否不可避免？

我们如何应对用户在社会网络中的数据爆炸？

MySpace， Facebook 一类的社会网络，以及 Flickr, YouTube, Twitter 一类的应用产生的大量数据将用户包围，而用户没有有效的语意过滤，这将导致怎样的后果？

我们是否应当对 Web 进行控制？

Berners Lee 曾说过，虽然他设计了 Web，Web 的全面发展却是成千上万的人各尽所能的结果。他曾不断呼吁真正开放的 Web，Web 需要代表任何思想，任何资料，任何观点，然而，多年来的儿童色情，恐怖主义，乃至于人类妄为都可以借助 Web 进行，我们是否应当对 Web 进行控制？
